The Bandpages: Toxic ` N blue listen to Toxic `N Blue (MP3/3,8Mb)
Toxic ´ N Blue, thats the name of the band from Frankfurt / Oder which I want to introduce to you today. The project, which consists of Dan D Anyou (vocals), Wassi (machines), Carmen (background vocals), certainly belongs to the Electro pop genre and you can hear the influences of 80s music, too. On the one hand their music is characterized by powerful basses and driving beats and on the other hand it receives the certain kick, which makes Toxic N Blues tunes unforgettable, by wonderful melodies and catchy soundscapes. Especially the marvelous vocals by Carmen give it a certain commercial structure. Surely one could compare it to other bands as a connoisseur of the genre, but this band does not fit in any file. No, it is not a copy or one of the many cloned projects at all. Toxic N Blue captivate with a very high level of independence. Their history starts in 1992. During that time they appeared by the name Black Mystery, consisted of Dan D Anyou (vocals), Pete Jey (keyboard), Volker Winkel (keyboard) and published the demo tape Dark Message which was the beginning of their success. Many gigs in clubs and discotheques followed. The highlight was a gig as support of Static Icon in Australia in 1996. Due to problems within the band they split up and only Dan D Anyou remained. On his own he released the album Response in late summer 1997. Because of his permanent thirst for action and a constantly growing group of fans, the single But Not Tonight (no cover version of Depeche Mode!) followed in Spring 2000. It even brought Mastermind Dan D Anyou to SAT1 (TV)!
Since the music had nothing in common with the name Black Mystery any longer, the project was renamed to Toxic N Blue on New Years Eve 2000. A highlight is a concert of the band, an hour full
of power, one just has to have seen them on stage. CONTAKT www.mp3.de/home/toxicNblue or send me an e-mail, I will forward it on as soon as possible the last bandpage was about Derive
